missingWrote a review on 09 Novshuttle buslack of hiking information
We were really disappointed with the shuttle bus service, as it felt overly rigid and inflexible. On top of that, we had to rely on multiple taxis to reach the train station because the shuttle wasn't operating as expected. Our planned hike ended in frustration since the staff had no clue about the trails, forcing us to take a lengthy road walk instead.

Just a good pick for short visits in Takayama with great value for the money. The air conditioning could be improved as it was only in the sleeping area. Be prepared for some warm afternoons if you're in the sitting room.

The Japanese-Style Deluxe Room provided a serene backdrop for relaxation, enhanced by the enchanting river view. Meals were exceptional, particularly the udon soups, which were rich in flavor and beautifully presented. However, the ambiance felt a bit lacking, with limited space for gathering and a muddy exterior that detracted from the overall experience. Additionally, the shuttle service could have been more attentive.

We had an unforgettable experience at this wonderful inn! The traditional setting made us feel like we were part of a storybook. The onsen was impressive, especially the private family time. Enjoying amazing kaiseki meals while wearing kimonos was just the cherry on top!
My wife says that a more frequent shuttle to Takayama would be convenient for families.

Had an amazing time with friends! We loved the beautiful onsen and the comfy Japanese-style rooms. The meals were top-notch, and the shuttle made exploring local sights super easy. We visited an authentic shrine and enjoyed a day at the river, both great experiences. Just a tip for future guests, the staff is very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area.
One downside was that the room had a few cobwebs. It didn’t impact our stay much, but it's worth mentioning for those picky about cleanliness.
